Frequently Asked Questions

There are variables that determine how thin we can slice, particularly for an elastomer with PSA applied:

  • The re-wind tightness must be adequate for thinner slices less than 0.50”.
  • The overall roll diameter must allow for a minimal blade thickness and diameter.  Thicker blades need more room between the slices, so cannot be used for fine cutting.
  • Some thin and tightly wound rolls like PSA rolls can even be slit to 0.25” or less.
