Why We Created HiMag™

Our HiMag™ Series of EMI / Microwave absorbing materials are dense rubber and foam based absorbers engineered and tested to exhibit superior performance in the most demanding military and commercial applications. Standard and custom high performance HiMag™ microwave absorber materials can be fabricated into custom shapes on one of our CNC cutting machines. Prior to cutting, pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) can be added to any of our HiMag™ absorber products to simplify installation.

HIMAG™ MICROWAVE ABSORBERS

HiMag™ Cavity Resonance Absorbers

Thin, magnetically loaded sheet stock, having high loss at microwave frequencies, while maintaining the desirable characteristics of elastomeric binders. These absorbers are designed to exhibit high loss and are intended to be applied to metal surfaces inside microwave cavities to reduce the Q of the cavity. Our products attenuate energy at normal and high angles of incidence at frequencies from 1 GHz to 20 GHz.

HiMag™ Lossy Foam Absorbers

Lightweight, conductive, carbon loaded sheet stock which provides broadband insertion loss at microwave frequencies. These absorbers are designed with a continuous electrical coating to exhibit high insertion loss and are intended to be applied to metal surfaces inside microwave cavities, housings, radomes, network enclosures, or antennae. Our products attenuate energy at normal and high angles of incidence at frequencies from 2 GHz to 18 GHz.

HiMag™ Reticulated Foam Absorbers

Lightweight, conductive, carbon loaded sheet stock which provide broadband loss at microwave frequencies. These absorbers are designed with a continuous gradient coating to exhibit high reflection loss and are intended to be applied to metal surfaces inside microwave cavities, housings, radomes, network enclosures, or antennae. Our products attenuate energy at normal and high angles of incidence at frequencies from 2 GHz to 18 GHz.

HiMag™ Surface Wave Absorbers

Thin, very highly loaded sheet stock having high loss at microwave frequencies, while maintaining the desirable characteristics of elastomeric binders. These products are the most heavily magnetically loaded absorber, designed to exhibit the highest loss, and intended to be applied to metal surfaces for traveling or surface wave attenuation. Our products attenuate traveling wave energy at frequencies from 1 GHz to 20 GHz.

HiMag™ Low Frequency Attenuation

Low Frequency Absorber is a magnetically loaded material having high loss at sub-microwave frequencies. Low Frequency Absorbers are designed with shaped magnetic particles which exhibit high permeability. The Low Frequency Absorber product line is the thinnest of the HiMag™ materials.

HiMag™ Tuned Frequency Absorber

Tuned Frequency Absorber is a magnetically loaded material having high loss at sub-microwave frequencies. Tuned Frequency Absorbers are designed with shaped magnetic particles which exhibit high permeability. The Tuned Frequency Absorber product line is the thinnest of the HiMag™ materials.

HiMag™ Silicone Absorber Caulk

HiMag™ Silicone Absorber Caulk is a two-part liquid silicone which is magnetically loaded to be electrically equivalent to the HiMag™ Cavity Resonance Absorber products. Silicone Absorber Caulk is an excellent solution for prototyping and testing. It can also be used in a production environment via an automated dispensing system.
